Alice In Wonderland Adaptations

This week I was browsing through an Alice In Wonderland / Tim Burton section featured in HMV to celebrate Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland 's DVD release. Amongst the books and DVDs  was a new version of the made for television 1985 version. As a child my parents would always rent this for me when we went to an old video store and after it closed down I was afraid I had lost it . . . it is now released on Region 2 thanks to media buzz of the Tim Burton version.


Today I decided to feature various Alice In Wonderland adaptations that have caught my eye .  .  .

Alice In Wonderland [1985] : This 1985 made for television version is charming and rich in viewing. It features beautiful sets,costumes and has many appearences from American actors. Its is available in region one on amazon.com and region 2 on amazon.co.uk and is current 10euro [bargain!] in HMV.

Second up and a huge treat for Alice fans . . a newly restored edition of the first EVER  Alice movie from 1903! The short film was directed by Cecil Hepworth and is available to watch here . . . Enjoy!







Next . . an Alice film list wouldnt be a list without the classic 1951 Walt Disney Version. I recently watched this again and enjoyed it much more than I did as child. Its sweet,fun and is perfect for a stay in dvd day.
