In September and October 2010 the first Gutter Candy Events took place. Two versions of 'Le Disko Bloodbath!' were held at Dolan's Warehouse in Limerick. The show was created by myself in order to cater to crowds who wanted more out of the regular night out. The show is a mix of a live concert with DJ's and audience interaction.
The shows featured a mix of Ireland's best talents - brilliant drag performances from Dublin's Carrie Deway and Stacey Davenport who also opened and closed the first show with my alter ego Candy Warhol.
The first show was hosted by the brilliant Demi De Whore while the Halloween special was hosted by Miss Alternative Limerick Heidi Hotlips.
The shows also featured fantastic burlesque performances by Ireland's top burlesque performers Rococo Belle and Nelly Devine. Live music came from Skinni Colin (formerly of the Skinny Twins) who performed his debut single Glamour Addict and there was also a haunting Phantom of the Opera performance on Halloween night.
Drag Queens Stacey Davenport and Carrie Deway also visited Limerick colleges on the day of the show to promote the night - Stacey got up in front of hundreds in the Limerick Art Schools canteen to shout about the show!
